FOTD - Style Icon: Bardot/60's film inspired

I was flipping through this month's Allure and came across a 2 page spread on Brigitte Bardot...I figured I hadn't done any reference makeup in awhile so why not! I love "the bardot" hairstyles, but she wasn't one of my favorite's for makeup. Mainly because her look was about what suited her features, unlike creating a "character" like Marilyn or Twiggy. Fully rimmed black kohl eyes are hard to pull off for blondes. Still, elements of her look can be amazing when done correctly, and it's one we constantly see referenced  in modern day styles. This is my take on her more toned down film/headshot look, medium on the liner and keeping everything matte for a 60's film vibe.

Just be careful it doesn't turn in to this! Oh Pammy! Girrrrrl!

The key to her look is Liner. Lining the eyes completely & lining outside of your natural lipline. The rest of the face is made up heavily & matte with an emphasis on warm/peachy tones. I added bigger lashes to open up the eyes, but a more natural style/corner lashes or none at all would be preferred for a traditional look.
